What is a SEO Friendly Directory? Here's a short list of requirements:
- Websites listed in the directory are directly linked to, ie:
- no redirects
- no javascripts
- no frames
- no other techniques to avoid a direct link
- The link text in the link is the sites title or other entry by the directory submitter
- All listing pages in the directory are accessible by legitimate search engine robots, ie:
- no use of nofollow tags on directory listings or internal nagivation
- no use of robots.txt to keep the search engines out of the directory listings
- no use of meta tags to keep the search engines out of the directory listings
- no use of javascript or other techniques for the internal directory navigation
This doesn't mean you can't use the robots.txt, meta tags, no follow or any other technique as you like on your site. However, to be SEO Friendly, these techniques cannot be use for the directorty listing links, or the internal navigation through the directory listings.
Now, if you want your directory to be added to the GLR List, you must:
- Meet the SEO Friendly requirements
- Accept free (ie: non-paid, non-reciprocal) listings. (this doesn't mean you can't have paid, and/or reciprocal options)
- You must accept subdomains, ie: submissions.glrsales.com (as a free option).
We also believe one of the most important factors for a webmaster submitting his site to directories is how fast they get added. Our front page will display the pages which are fastest.
If you want you site added to the GLR List pleas submit it if it meets all the above requirements.
